Our Story - How It all started...
Jump In2 School was founded by Cilena Trujillo, Founder & Executive Director, whose own experience growing up in foster care inspired a mission to ensure no child starts the school year feeling unprepared or forgotten.
What began in 2021 with just 300 attendees has grown into a powerful community movement, welcoming nearly 5,000 children and families in 2025—our biggest year yet.
Through our signature annual Bash and expanding year-round programs, we provide backpacks, school supplies, essential resources, educational opportunities, and community support to underserved students and foster youth across New Mexico.
Today, Jump In2 School is more than a back-to-school event—it's a growing network of volunteers, businesses, nonprofits, and community partners working together to remove barriers, empower youth, and create brighter futures.
What started as one person's dream has become a movement that continues to unite our community, inspire hope, and create lasting impact—one student, one family, and one partnership at a time.

Our Mission
Jump In2 School Bash brings the community together to provide backpacks, school supplies, and essential resources to underserved students and foster youth. Through our signature annual Bash and year round initiatives, we create opportunities for families and rising entrepreneurs while ensuring every child starts the school year confident and prepared.
